Serbia and Cameroon played out an entertaining 3-3 draw in Group G at the World Cup on Monday. Vincent Aboubakar was the hero for Cameroon on the day.

Cameroon and Serbia provided a goal fest for the fans on Monday as they played out a 3-3 draw in Qatar to leave with a point each.

Vincent Aboubakar was the hero for the African team as the substitute scored a goal and put in an assist to help them comeback from 3-1 down.

The match started with Serbia being on the front foot and Aleksandar Mitrovic in the thick of things. The Fulham striker got the first real sniff of the goal in the fifth minute but his header went over the bar.

He would then become involved five minutes later as the 28-year-old exhibited some good skill to enter the box and his shot rebounded off the post. The Fulham man was once again under the spotlight as the Cameroonian defence failed to clear a ball into the box and it fell at Mitrovic's feet. The shot, however, went well wide.

Cameroon would then slowly claw their way back into the game with Vanja Milinković-Savić being called into action by Kunde. In the 28th minute, the African giants took the lead against the run of play as a corner into the box was headed on to Jean-Charles Castelletto who made no mistake in scoring.

Cameroon was on the ascendency at this time and Milinkovic-Savic had to save a shot by Kunde in the 42nd minute. But then Serbia decided to change the script of the game in stoppage time as Pavlovic headed home a cross by Dusan Tadic in the first minute of added time. Two minutes later, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic gave the European side the lead with a low shot from outside the box.

After the break, Serbia started once again on the front foot with Tadic being the main man. The Ajax star fed a ball to Sergej Milinkovic-Savic but nothing came of the resultant effort.

In the 53rd minute, Mitrovic finally scored after a beautiful team move involving many players and made it 3-1 to almost ensure the win for Serbia.

Cameroon then decided to gamble by bringing on Vincent Aboubakar and took off Martin Hongla to get back into the game. There was an instant impact from the substitute as he went past the defensive line and chipped a shot past Milinkovic-Savic in the 62nd minute. While the goal was initially ruled out, it was then given after VAR intervened.

He would then become the provider in the 66th minute as he setup Eric Choupo-Moting to make it 3-3.

Serbia would look to force the issue and retake the lead but the Cameroonian defence was resolute as the game started to get stretched at both ends.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic would then unleash a shot in the 77th minute, but the shot sailed over the crossbar. Aboubakar continued to threaten at the other end and forced the Serbian goalkeeper to make a save in the 86th minute.

Mitrovic would then miss another superb chance in the 88th minute as the Cameroonian defence went to sleep as the striker was given a lot of space inside the box.

Both teams kept pushing with six minutes added on as stoppage time, but none of them could make the most of it and went home with a point each.
