Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, addressing an election rally in Fatehpur Sikri on Monday, stated that Ayodhya and Kashi have achieved their goals, and now it's Braj's turn.

Braj, also called Braj Bhumi, located on both sides of the Yamuna river with its centre at Mathura-Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh, is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Krishna.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also hit out at the opposition parties for “questioning the existence of Ram and Krishna”.

“Congress, SP, and BSP were together questioning us for evidence regarding the Ram Janmabhoomi. They used to say that Ram and Krishna didn't exist. Due to Modi Ji, their lies failed, and after five hundred years, Lord Ram appeared,” Adityanath said.

Further attacking the opposition parties, without naming the recently dead gangster-politician Mukhtar Ansari, Adityanath alleged that Congress, SP, and BSP supporters are “offering prayers at the mafia's grave”.

“Tell them that the vote will go to the Lotus symbol. They are being given a five-year break; they can recite prayers after five years,” he said, addressing an election rally in support of BJP candidate Rajkumar Chahar from Fatehpur Sikri.

The UP Chief Minister criticised Congress, BSP, and SP for “neglecting the people” and said under BJP rule, “people don't get the benefits of schemes based on their caste or religion”.

“Ten crore people got gas connections, and four crore got homes. Some are still left; in the third term, every person will receive benefits,” Adityanath said. He also compared the developments and welfare schemes in India with the “dismal situation” in Pakistan.

He stated that “Pakistan separated from India in 1947 with great arrogance. Pakistan's total population is between 25 and 30 crore, while India's population is 140 crore. For the past four years in India, 80 crore people have been benefiting from free rations, while people in Pakistan struggle for bread. A population the size of Pakistan has been lifted above the poverty line in India.”
